This is my local branch. It's a huge upgrade from when they were in the American Can building. The staff was always great, and these guys keep the standards sky-high! I used to print my biz papers at office depot, but these guys are light-years ahead of them on customer service and seamless self-service functionality. Just a great place to get done what you need to get done. I support them with my dollars any time compared to a private corp.

A small library located in an old Bank building. It has plenty of parking in the back though the parking lot can feel a little tricky to access 🙂 the staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. You have your card. Can order books from any branch to be delivered here. Great library to hang out in, good lighting and nice atmosphere.

Beautiful mid-century building, built in 1963 by architects Curtis & Davis as headquarters for the Automotive Life Insurance Company, converted in 2016 into the Mid-City Library. The building's style is reminiscent of Minoru Yamasaki's Pacific Science Center in Seattle from 1962. Note the reflecting pool in front and the ceremonial central entrance plus the covered access ways for cars on both sides of the building.

Small, compact, and has quite a bit of interesting, progressive finds. So compact that it would be hard for everyone near to utilize it every day, for example. An idea would be to increase to the actual properties footprint. Perhaps less steps and frontage area, and greater building sq ft could be planned.

This is a small location but it is quiet and the staff is super polite! I had a smooth experience signing up and Cathy did a great job of explaining all the resources that come with the library card. I will be making this a regular stop for studying.
