About this class

By My Side is a grassroots nonprofit parenting group in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia, operating with Atonement Lutheran Church since 2007. It runs caregiver-and-child playgroups for children from birth through age five, with parents, grandparents, and other caregivers attending together. Baby Group meets Mondays 12-1pm for ages 12 months and under (older siblings welcome), while Morning Playgroup meets Wednesdays and Fridays 10-11:30am for all ages. Sessions are loosely structured, with free play, circle time, and snack. Suggested donation is $5 per playgroup; no one is turned away for lack of money, and coffee and tea are offered to caregivers.

The lady that runs the play group Ms. Teri is so sweet. My son Pharaoh adores her and loves going to the play groups. Its a wonderful place and great place to take your little ones to play. We love it!

This place is a lifesaver for parents of young children. Donation supported playgroups weekdays (minus Wednesday) from 10-1130, baby playgroup Tuesday at noon, music classes, date night babysitting, and a wonderfully kind and supportive community!
