About this class

Fitness Alive Center City offers a wonderful "Mommy and Me" swim class called Baby & Toddler Bubbles for little ones aged 5 months to 3 years. These sessions are designed to help your kiddo feel comfortable in the water and develop essential safety skills, all while having fun together. Classes are available at both their Center City and South Philly locations, making it convenient for families across the city. I know finding the right activity can be tough, but this could be a great way to bond and build confidence in the water.

This is such an amazing place. I wish I could give it 6 out of 5 stars. My daughter started taking swimming lessons there. I wanted her to get lessons because every time we were in a pool she was stuck to me like super glue. She has been terrified of swimming. However, at the Fitness Alive lesson she felt so comfortable. The instructor, Bailey, was kind and patient. My daughter learned so many new skills and felt confident about herself. Bailey had her in the pool the entire time and guided her through each step so carefully. After my daughter was finished and we were leaving she looked at me and said, "This swimming place is amazing!" I will definitely recommend Fitness Alive to other families. **also the water is not freezing cold that is another huge bonus.

Water aerobics was fun. I joined because I want to stop being afraid of the water so I can learn to swim. Our instructor, Emily, was very friendly, encouraging, and accommodating and she showed me different ways to do the exercises since. As the class went on, I felt a little more comfortable in the water. Hopefully I'll stop being afraid of the water in a few more classes and I'll feel comfortable enough to learn to swim.

Love the baby and toddler classes here. Some instructors are more structured than others, but they teach helpful skills like how to hold your baby safely in the water. The water temperature is also nice and comfortable. Spectators beware that the air is sauna-like to help maintain the warmth in the water.

We love coach Al!! They do an amazing job teaching our 6 year old proper form and confidence in the water. Just the right amount of fun vs professional.

This place is awesome. My fiancé and myself originally signed up for swim lessons at the SP reed st. location. The first day we signed up I forgot my towel ( we were overly excited and anxious to begin swimming), and my fiancé asked who we now know is the associate director - Nicole for a towel. She went to her car, and bought back a new towel for us to use, which was her own personal towel. Being anemic I literally almost cried, well maybe I did a little. She made the whole experience worthwhile. People like Nicole are gems, and need to be protected and valued at all cost. Lessons: The swim instructors are awesome both Andrew & Olivia are patient, and will want to see you reach your full potential; while also making you feel comfortable with water. Nicole recommended the CC location to us for lap swimming due to me getting cold at the SP location, and it’s been awesome. She gave us a full tour of the facility and made us feel at ease. I will never go to any other pool in the city. It’s so hard to find kind, humble, and caring people in the city. I’m grateful to be able to afford to swim here, and grateful this place is in my city. Thank you fitness Alive. Nicole stay awesome. P.s. the lap pool in CC is beautiful. There are four lanes. The pools depth ranges from 3-5 1/2 feet deep. You can book your reservations on the fitness alive site a week prior to your lesson. The morning lessons go extremely quick, so you have to be quick to ensure you get a spot. Overall 10/10. I’m so grateful for this place. I’m definitely getting more comfortable with water and swimming in deep water due to the techniques Andrew taught us, and breathing exercises Olivia demonstrated.
