I love this gym. I’ve been a regular here for the past six years since moving to south Mpls. My highlights are free coffee in the mornings on weekdays, more women lifting weights at any given time than other gyms, great kids zone staff and kids pool and the warm earnest friendly people and culture. It is the place to work out over south !

Not very satisfied because I felt racism towards my white family during the open house to the public.(October 22) from a heavier set colored lady behind the counter around 6:30 p.m. Had an attitude first thing when we came in. My kids were old enough to attend the open pool while I went to zumba. I called on two different occasions ahead of time, both times they said yes it was fine due to the open house. My party had only 4 total and another party had also 4. She told us that our party was to big. We were previous members before but due to inflation we had to cancel our membership. We were hoping to become members again but the experience was very unpleasant.

Staff is extremely rude. If you want to pay cash for parking, good luck. They lock the doors to the only place you can pay cash and have an attitude if you want to use it.

I used to love this YWCA and was a dedicated member at this location for years. I loved the community vibe and the warmth of the place and the fantastic classes. I loved running on the track and the great hot tub and sauna. I missed all of this so much during the pandemic, and really wanted to go back. However, one of the main reasons I go to the Y is for the classes, and since re-opening they just do not have enough to make it worth the money. I checked the schedules every few months hoping they would add more, but as it stands they have maybe one class after work hours per day. If that. This is absurd! I would love to go back if they added more, but I ended up joining the YMCA because they had far better course offerings. If any staff people read this, please please tell your marketing people this is a major issue and you are losing members. I’d love to join again if that happens.
