Awesome gym for people with families, kids. The dress code is appropriate 👌 not like other gyms where people wear next to nothing. If you have more then one person in your family, this one for you. Kinda sucks they don't have deals for single people, too expensive. Great people sauna is low in heat tho. Great amount of options on there weights section, small amount of room for stretching. Would be nice if they added more pace to sit for kids when they wait on parents lol. All In all 8 out of 10. Then this ymca the only place that is kids friendly

I can't say enough good things about this YMCA! While it may be on the smaller side, it's packed with everything you need for a great experience. The staff are all incredibly friendly and professional, making every visit a pleasure. The child watch service is exceptional—my toddler always have a fantastic time and are well cared for while I enjoy my workout. Parking is never an issue, which is such a relief compared to other gyms. Overall, I love coming here. It’s a welcoming and well-managed facility that really feels like a community hub. Highly recommend!

Checked in at the South Hill YMCA today and was pulled to the side like a child who’s being admonished for the behaviour of my son from several days ago last week. He stumbled a little bit when he got out of my truck he tripped and so they assumed he had drugs in his system which is absolutely absurd. He was on his way to work . Mind you the South Hill has been known to be a very racist community in Spokane to people of different ethnic backgrounds. My son went with me to the South Hill YMCA last week he did not wanna come in and exercise although I encouraged him to do so but he wanted to sit in the car so he sat in the car to wait because he had to go to work shortly after I do my exercise routine. He got out the car to go over to CHASE bank to see about his bank account information and he had to take a walk down the street and back according to the staff at the South hill Spokane YMCA they said that they received several complaints from people that he look like he was on drugs which my son don’t do drugs. He was with me because he needed a ride to work and he was waiting for me to finish my workout. I had only been to this South Hill location twice. This happens to people of colour in Spokane all the time especially if they go to the South Hill they are always being racially profiled. They assumed he was doing something that was suspicious or suspect of doing something illegal just because of the colour of his skin. My big question is this if I’m parked in the handicap right in front of the building and my son is in the car do you really think he would be doing anything illegal sitting right in front of the YMCA right by the front door, anything of suspicion that close to a building is just straight up foolish He’s not that type of guy he holds down two jobs he has two kids he takes care of his family and then all he got was flack from the South Hill YMCA. I don’t ever wanna go back there ever again. I couldn’t even finish working out there today. Once she brought it to my attention to me it was just absurd and not to mention, he wasn’t even with me today. Do not exercise at the YMCA if you are a person of colour because they will racially profile you they don’t like people of colour using their facilities on the south hill don’t do it. I am extremely disappointed in the YMCA they were never this kind of company they were built on inclusive the tea of all people and races so for me this is a big huge no-no and I’m never going there again And I will be reporting it to the YMCA as well.
