I love this Y location so much. Every single staff member is so kind and welcoming, and child watch staff especially are amazing. My kids love coming here and we certainly make the most of our membership coming almost every day. Of all the locations in the greater Spokane area, this one is absolutely the best

The YMCA has been such a blessing to my family! The cost is pricey than other gyms, it’s less fancy and parking can be very hard to find sometimes but overall, we love the sense of community that this location has created. The Child Watch and staff have cared for my children for going on two years now and my oldest son really enjoys his time there! Even upon entering, they say hi to my boys by name. The teachers work well with his sometimes challenging behaviors and are very friendly and supportive. My workout routine is pretty basic, so the equipment they have works just fine. The real value for me at this gym is in the kind staff and 2 hours of freedom, quiet, and peace of mind that child watch offers! (I will say morning staff are the best!)

Pros: lots of classes, great place for seniors to stay in shape. Cons: hot tub and steam sauna are constantly shut down for “maintenance”, the weight room is carpeted which means there are interesting smells to enjoy during your workout; it is unclear how often the carpet is cleaned in that room. Price point is a bit high. I likely would have kept my membership but the constant hot tub shut downs are simply too frequent.

I’ve been going to this gym for over a couple years and overall it’s been pretty good besides it being busy and outdated equipment. One thing i’ve noticed and why i’m writing this review is i’ve been told to put on a shirt 3 times due to dress policy. I completely understand there are policies in place but the issue i have is i feel targeted. i’ve had one to 2 inches of my midriff out while everything else was completely covered and been approached while there are 2 men with muscle tanks right next to me. I am writing this because it feels unfair and frankly a little sexist. I am currently looking for a new gym because i dress fairly conservatively for gym wear but its unfair to only uphold policies for certain genders or age groups.

Asked for a membership 6/11. charged me only for a day pass, after an extensive sign in process. now asking me to pay twice due to their processing mistake 6/13. Happy to pay the difference not in addition to. If it was the companies processing mistake the customer should not pay for your mistake. Standard business practice.
