This place is an absolute joke. You’re genuinely better off getting a normal gym membership those places offer classes, childcare, and don’t play games with your money. I called to cancel because I haven’t been able to go for months due to foot surgery. Despite that they still charged me full price today. When I called, I was hit with some nonsense about needing to cancel 10 days before their cutoff date. Funny thing is… that information is nowhere on the online account and you can’t cancel online anyway. You have to call and even then you’re sent to voicemail. I left a message and waited for a callback. They tried to keep me by offering a “special half off deal,” which I agreed to at first until they called back the same day to tell me I didn’t actually qualify. So I canceled again. Today I called about a refund for the charge they pulled after I no longer had a membership, and once again I got the same scripted “10-day rule” excuse. Instead of taking responsibility for their shady cancellation process the manager literally hung up on me. Classy. Save yourself the frustration. Go to an actual gym that’s cheaper, straightforward, and doesn’t try to squeeze in one last charge on your way out.

We toured the facility for trying to switch from another gym. Monthly membership pricing is reasonable but they really need to renovate and improve the facility. Long dark hallways with very old fixtures. Very few cardio machines had tv and all of them were taken on a saturday afternoon which is a slower day. There is no indoor pool so if kids want to learn swim, thats not an option in the winter. Kids area timings are not very conducive for weekends but the good thing is that kids above a certain age can also workout in the cardio area. The lockers and bathrooms were clean but definitely very outdated and old. Unfortunately we will be looking for another option for our gym needs.

YMCA is a great place to go and workout. Its fun and you deserve a healthier body. The hours are great and clean/safe locker rooms. The employees are always kind and helpful. What else to ask for?....great pool, exercise classes, weight lifting, lots of machine to use and makes you feel great.

Julie at the front desk is consistently rude and unprofessional. This is now the third time I’ve personally witnessed her treat guests poorly, and it’s very uncomfortable to watch. On more than one occasion, I’ve seen Julie be dismissive, sarcastic, and unnecessarily harsh toward guests who were calm, polite, and simply asking normal questions about their accounts. Instead of helping, she made rude comments, rolled her eyes, and acted annoyed as if the guests were a burden. One situation I saw was especially upsetting — a guest was treated so poorly that she ended up crying after trying to calmly ask for help. Other people nearby noticed and felt bad for her too. It was clear Julie was trying to provoke a reaction instead of resolving the issue professionally. Julie has also made comments implying there are “notes” about guests in their accounts and made guests feel judged instead of supported. Rather than simply saying she couldn’t help, she made the guest feel like a problem for asking questions. No one should be made to feel that way in a place that is supposed to be welcoming and safe. The YMCA should be a respectful environment for everyone, and what I’ve witnessed multiple times is the opposite. This behavior should not be ignored. I heard Julie be rude to a kid- and also ask a guest why did they ask so many questions. She should not be allowed to work with guest.
