Reviews
We really enjoyed visiting Yorkville Library, especially the children’s storytime sessions. It’s a wonderful place for families — warm, welcoming, and very well organized. The storytelling was engaging and fun, and our child absolutely loved it. The staff were kind, patient, and great with kids, which made the experience even better. We’re so happy we found this library and look forward to coming back again. Highly recommend for parents with young children!

Quiet library on the Upper East side. Offer movies, book talks, & various activities for kids. Nice seating area with a window to use laptop. Another area by the front desk with 4 comfortable chairs. Most people sit here to read the newspapers

I dropped by at about 2:45 pm on a Wednesday to finish reading some books and then return them. I was looking to sit and have a surface for reading and writing. The first floor was somewhat crowded and when I asked the person at the circulation desk if there was another area to sit, I was told that the second floor was for children, so I joined a crowded table and carried on with my library business. My interactions with staff were brief but cordial. My biggest disappointment was with the community restroom which, yes, is down a considerable flight of steps and its location is not immediately visible. It was also untidy and there was no toilet paper. Given what I experienced during my visit, three stars is the best that I can offer.

Children’s room is closed. Noted on the website and on signs on their doors. Not wheelchair accessible. Great for able-bodied adults but otherwise you’re out of luck.
