The hardworking, energetic, well dressed, uniformed Staff are always visible and ready to make sure that each Camper is special. There is fun and games and lots of learning experiences each day.A recent field trip was wonderful and exciting and my Camper was excited to share the details. Thank you YMCA!!!

My kid absolutely LOVES camp! She is always so excited to come to camp. She loves making friends and making crafts. Her favorite part though is swimming. Truly she loves everything about being there and is always excited to go.

I signed up my 7 year old twins for summer camp at Ft. Benjamin. I met with the camp director and explained my child's needs. My children went to camp the first day. My child got sunscreen in his eyes within the first couple hours of camp. The camp councilors just kept telling him to rinse them out with water. His eyes were still red and swollen when he was picked up 8 hours later. During the day, he asked for a break as part of his accommodations. Their version of a break was having him lay in the grass under a tent. He remained there the whole day. The children are kept outside for 9 plus hours a day in the heat. Then if they are special needs, they allowed him to lay in a tent all day?!?! Never once did the attempt to contact me with regards to the situation. This concerns me for the safety of all the kids. My children will not be returning. I contacted the department and explained the situation. I told them that I was removing my children from the program. I was then told that they were keeping my deposit for the whole summer and charging me for the full week even though they only went 1 day. All I got from the manager I spoke with was a sorry.

I love that my son has so much fun and is exhausted when he comes home from day camp. He enjoys all the activities. They make sure the kids get outside and play. He also loves the swimming.
