About this class

If you're looking for a fun and engaging "Mommy and Me" class, We Rock the Spectrum in Chesapeake has a Pre-K Prep program that might be just what you need. It's designed to help your little one develop essential skills for kindergarten, like self-help, fine motor, academic, communication, and social-emotional skills. The day starts with 45 minutes of gym play, followed by small-group activities like circle time, art projects, and themed lessons on topics like animals, transportation, and food. It's a great way to get your kiddo ready for school while having fun together. Parenting can be tough, but finding the right activities can make it a bit easier.

Parents mention that while the kids have a blast and often don't want to leave, the cleanliness and condition of the toys could use some serious attention. Fair warning: you might want to keep an eye on those little hands after playtime!

Age Groups:

We visited for the first time after purchasing a Groupon. I thought it would be nice to visit an indoor playground on a hot day. My kids enjoyed themselves and made some new friends. My only suggestion would be to clean the place a little more. We arrived around 10:45am and the play area looked like it hadn't been swept or vacuumed for several days. Clumps of hair in some places. The trash in the bathroom was filled up with paper towels, which suggested the trash hadn't been emptied the night before. I would recommend having one of the young ladies sitting at the counter walk around with a hand held vacuum when it wasn't crowded and wipe down surfaces and toys throughout the day. Overall, we had a good experience but it could have been cleaner.

We visited a few weeks ago on a rainy Sunday. I think the concept behind this place is a good idea- but honestly a lot of the toys and equipment seemed to be in rough shape. The staff was really nice, however our biggest issue was the larger children coming to take over the marked “infant/toddler area”. There is a sign that a specific area is designated for smaller children. Unfortunately a lot of parents didn’t seem to see this sign, and their bigger kids were coming over and taking toys, running everyone over trying to use the rocking horse ramps on the far right wall, etc. I would recommend that you either have staff inform parents that there is an infant/toddler area and to please abide by that for safety reasons, or maybe gate the area off? It was really disappointing and unless that changes I probably wouldn’t go back. It’s a good attempt at having a sensory friendly place for kids, just needs a little TLC and boundaries.

So much fun for my kiddos. I have a 6 year old, a 2 year old, and a 1 year old and there was PLENTY of stuff for them all to do. When our 90 minutes was up none of my kids wanted to leave. We will definitely come very frequently!

The previous reviews of this place all seemed amazing and I had some higher expectations coming to this location. The place wasn't clean and alot of the toys/equipment were in very rough shape and didn't look like they had been wiped down in awhile. Staff was friendly just wish it was cleaner abd better kept. I don't think it was worth $15 and probably won't be returning.

Place wasn’t clean at all and the toys were dirty. My child actually got sick the following day 🤧 and I strongly believe he got the sickness from this place as we hadn’t been anywhere else but this place. Definitely never ever going back
