Libraries are vital community spaces for people of all ages to learn and enjoy. However, staff shared that there is no custodian assigned—not just at this branch, but citywide—and the security guard cleans the bathrooms. Restrooms and shared areas, including computers, are not being properly cleaned. The smell of urine is noticeable upon entering, dust buildup is visible, and the children’s room floors need mopping. The city must do a better job maintaining cleanliness in public libraries to help prevent the spread of illness and protect community safety. (I didn't want to Violate others privacy so there only a picture of the reason for my visit. Trash, dust, dirt and hair in the one picture.) SMH!

Second time here and fully loving the ability to go to the library. Used the Dewey decimal system to help me find my book. Staff was helpful. I asked two questions. Joyful experience

Kids love this place. Very peaceful and quite inside. The only drawback is the parking spot is difficult to get in the area. Theu have computers available for you but keep in mind their is a time bar for adults. The audio section is also very good. They have a nice cozy spot for the infants too with lots of playing stuffs. My daughter likes drawing and they have that option as well. All in all you can have enjoyable and peaceful time with kids.

My main interactions with the free library have been at the Parkway location, which has always been great. Not the most welcoming atmosphere at this location though. Selection is also pretty slim. Some staff can be very friendly, but other staff will definitely let you know that you're an inconvenience when they're checking your books out. Made me feel like I was being a burden just by trying to check out books at the counter. Lot of heavy sighs and eyerolls. Certainly didn't make me want to come back. If you're someone with social anxiety, it can be an intimidating and unfriendly location. Definitely got the sense that staff were overworked, underpaid, and some of them were pretty fed up as a result, which means your experience varies a lot depending on who's manning the counter.
