The kids section was really nice, as the staff there were very nice, and there were even computers up there. The staff read books to kids, had a nice voice, and it was also really quiet. Some reviews say that it was not quiet, but it may be a one-time thing.

My experience at the Todt Hill–Westerleigh Library was honestly very disappointing because of one particular staff member. I want to be clear that most of the other staff there are actually very nice and welcoming, which is why this interaction stood out so much. When I asked a simple question, this one staff member came across as very rude and dismissive. Instead of helping, the interaction made me feel like I was bothering them just by being there. What made the situation even more uncomfortable was that I also noticed this same staff member speaking in a rude way to other staff members while I was there. It created an awkward atmosphere and made the environment feel tense instead of welcoming. Again, I do want to say that the other staff members I’ve encountered have been kind and helpful. I just hope this particular staff member works on being more respectful to both patrons and coworkers so the library can remain the positive community space it’s meant to be. I don’t know the name of the person but I know he has a nice orange beard

It’s a great library and very nice. However, what’s frustrating is that you have kids that come here to make noise and people having full blown conversations, and others playing their garbage music without even wearing earphones. The library is meant to be a quiet space, however, others take it upon themselves to use it as a lounge. The employees need to do better and speak to people that are making noise

I visited this library names Todt Hill Westerleigh for my first time. I came to this library expecting a quiet environment where I could help my child focus on homework. Instead, it felt like a chaotic community center. There was loud, constant chatter, a crying baby, and people talking in raised voices, even as they exited the building—completely disregarding others who were trying to study. The noise level was unacceptable for a place meant for reading and concentration. What’s worse, the desk attendant appeared indifferent and made no effort to address the disruption. This library is failing its purpose as a quiet public space. Very disappointing experience.
