About this class

The Music School of Delaware runs several parent-and-child music classes for young children, with a caregiver required to attend. Family Music is for ages 6 months to 3 years (9 months to 3 years in Milford), Tots Rock! for 16 months to 3 years, and the Prelude Program, which combines Musikgarten and Suzuki curricula, for ages 3 to 4.5 years. Sessions include singing, dancing, rocking, bouncing, instrument play, and listening activities. Classes meet Saturdays at the Wilmington campus for fall and spring semesters of 10-12 sessions, with take-home materials for continued practice at home.

A wonderful place to learn and experience music, from the youngest child through adulthood. As an adult student, I've had lessons with the best performance, theory, and music history teachers and have developed my musical knowledge and, hence musical enjoyment, tremendously.

I have been studying violin here for the past year, and have nothing but good things to say about them. In addition to lessons, they offer multiple concerts each month. A great place for music enthusiasts!

The Music School is an exciting place - the concerts and events are outstanding and the faculty is phenomenal! Stop in for a tour, a class schedule, or events brochure. The school has changed so many lives, and has helped people of all ages become stronger, smarter, and more confident through music! ♥️♥️♥️

The Wilmington Youth Jazz Band utilizes this venue to rehearse and it’s a perfect place for the kids. In addition, if they want private lessons there are teachers all over the place lol!
