About this class

Take Me to the Water Swim School in Queens offers a "Baby and Me" class for infants and toddlers aged 6 months to 2.5 years. These 30-minute sessions are designed to introduce your little one to the water in a fun and engaging way. You'll be right there with your child, helping them get comfortable and learn basic water skills through songs, games, and playful activities. It's a wonderful opportunity to bond with your kiddo while they start their swimming journey. I know finding the right class can be a bit overwhelming, but this one seems like a great fit for parents looking to share the experience with their little ones.

Parents rave about how Coach Manny works wonders with the little ones—he's firm but super friendly, making it fun for kids to learn to swim. Just a heads-up though: families have noted the facility could use a good scrub, so keep that in mind when you visit!

Age Groups:
Infants

was a little unsure at first because of some reviews, but at the end of the day, at 28 I finally learned how to swim competently. i did 4 sessions. chantal and rita were professional, patient, friendly and supportive. not a fancy place at all — very no-frills — but you show up, put in the work, learn, that’s it. sign up process easy. easy commute right off of the E/F train. highly recommend!

I enrolled my 2 daughters a year ago and i felt it was a waste of time and money. The staff are nice but they dont have a program that they follow, everytime my daughters come, they dont have the same instructor, so we dont know if theyre progressing or what. The place is not that clean too.

First the good, the coaches for younger kids are great. Can't say enough good things about Coach Manny, he's firm but good with the kids. All of the coaches we have had have been great, your kids will learn to swim here. Now the bad, the facility. It's filthy, they need to take care of the place and keep up with the maintenance and cleaning more than once a day. The bathrooms are atrocious and the floor mats are unsanitary. If they were able to properly maintain the place my rating would be five stars. If they didn't have good coaches we wouldn't come back.

Horrible, very uneducated and very unprofessional life guard. Bharat a life guard who works there as the life guard is the most unethical and very uneducated and very very unprofessional rude employee there. I have no idea why he’s working there or better why they would let him work there. VERY VERY RUDE! After today if I were a parent letting my child swim there I’d not trust it with him no matter even if you are watching from the outside of the window. I have paid $45 for a 30 min class and he without valuing any of this said “get out “ to me screaming in front of all this children. Even when I have asked so calmly for him to lower his voice and not to scream he just lost it. He don’t know how to TALK, TREAT, and value his job. If he’s working as a life guard in a kids swim class he should be well educated enough to show the childrens how to behave or talk. It’s so sad to see what kind of employee a wonderful place would hire. He was saying he is a board of directors of that place and he has all the right to yell at me and to tell me to take my child and leave. And I wonder how unethical a board of member could be. Just amazing. “BHARAT” keep this name in your mind if you let your child swims there. He’s the most useless, rude, and very unprofessional guy you’d see. Will never let my child swim there. I’d suggest no one let their child swim there.

I went to several adult beginners classes and still can’t swim. They didn’t have private adult sessions so I had to split my time with a group. Even in a group of 2 (and sometimes 3) you can’t learn much in the 30min when they have to keep going back and forth between each person. And on top of that, the premises are very dirty and unsanitary as others have said. I almost thought this was the norm for a swimming center….until I started taking lessons at much cleaner centers with no rusty, grim, or dirtiness. Don’t waste your time or money with these people, you won’t get much out of it.
