My fiancée and I came to Giselle with a unique and challenging request - learn a tango dance for our wedding. Despite having only a month to work with, and us having no prior dance experience, she made it happen! We were really pleased with the result, and our guests were blown away. Giselle choreographed a dance from a song we sent her, was very patient with us throughout the process, made it clear that practicing outside of class would be essential, and gave us so much encouragement and enthusiasm. Would absolutely recommend if you are hoping to learn a specific dance, or just get some help with dancing in general.

My daughters have been taking dance from Ms. Giselle Workman for almost 7 years. Since signing up for classes at the studio, we have found the classes to be educational and disciplined, yet fun. The instructors are well-experienced and provide thorough instruction. We all learn something in every class. Exceptional in the way students and their parents are welcomed, we feel that Step It Up is a very friendly environment, where we feel like family with the other students and their families. Pricing is very reasonable, too!

Shake Bake
I've been involved on and off with this studio for what feels like my whole life. I danced there for many years 10+. I've worked closely with Giselle, the studio director on various projects from substituting a few classes to recording auditions to most recently designing and constructing all of the props for the latest performance. I have taken classes elsewhere as required by my school at the time and immediately noticed Step It Up was different from other studios in a variety of ways like organization, values, communication, respectful team players ect. There are so many opportunities there other than dance which I love. I've been able to expand in all artistic avenues and I feel like I'm part of a family there. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants a more hands-on experience and values a more personal relationship with your instructors and peers. A place you can grow that is affordable.

Finding Starbound Academy was a blessing for my daughter and our family. She has blossomed in the last couple of months with confidence and independence. Her grades have improved at school and she is driven to now to be the best. I highly recommend this program to any parent who is looking for a safe place their children can call home away from home. Children are nurtured, encouraged and taught to succeed at Starbound Academy.
