About this class

The St. Paul Midway YMCA offers a full-day Early Childhood Learning Center for infants and toddlers, providing a nurturing environment for your little one. They also have a Kids Stuff program, offering age-appropriate activities for children ages six weeks to 10 years, so you can work out while your kiddo has fun. Plus, their facilities include a swimming pool with water safety lessons, a library, and an outdoor garden and playground. Balancing everything as a parent is tough, but having these options can make it a bit easier.

Families appreciate the large parking lot, making it easy to get in and out, especially on busy days. Fair warning: keep an eye on the class schedules, as options after 5:30 PM can be tough to come by for working parents.

Age Groups:
Infants
Toddlers

Very horrible stuff, especially the lifeguards. Racist and unprofessional at its best. Today we had a racist encounter when we took the kids for swimming at this location. The lifeguard was literally not allowing other kids in the pool( blacks) and only letting the white kids in. We waited for an hour plus for him to let the kids in the pool. I’m really disappointed and disgusted by the behavior of the lifeguard for misrepresenting the whole motto of the YMCA( inclusive). I hope the management sees into this matter.

My experience is mostly around the pool etc and I have had very positive experiences. The lap pool is decent sized and so is the sauna. I especially like the small "lazy river" section where you can walk with or against the current. It's a busy place but there's is a large parking lot and it's easy to find parking.

Watch out for there promotional scams. Was told I could cancel without being charged before the free promotional period ended. Was a lie. Got charged for 30 days anyway. So if thay say it's free it's not true. Plenty of cheaper places around. Would not recommend.

ymca of the north has several problems for working people. 1. they don't have classes that start after 530. many people still work 9-530 so taking advantage of the free and paid small group classes are unavailable. Also, when you pay for small group sessions the computer system that the ymca of the north uses. will take them away. when you talk to management they refuse to take responsibility and you lose your money. the reason why I'm giving it a 3 instead of a 1 is that I love doing the Pilates reformer and it is the cheapest package you can find in the twin cities. Just be very mindful and keep track of how many classes you take and pay for, as the ymca computer program does not handle that well. Also, at times the computer system will not allow you to sign up for classes that you have paid for and tells you to call instead, but when you do the staff is unable to sign you up.

I signed up but canceled the next business day, only to be charged two months later. Customer service is horrendous, with so many hoops to jump through despite never using the membership. I have submitted a claim with my bank but would not recommend it based on my experience.
