I go here often and altho they have a great kids section. And a diverse adult section and will give you extra computer time. The Staff up front are always making rude comments about me as I am there. I hear them criticize my clothes call me crazy and more. I keep to myself when there I live at the shelter near so it is the most convent to go to. Seems like there Staff is a bunch of privlage peopel who gossip about the Less fortunate. The libray should be a safe place to go. I hate writing a bad review but it's nessary I hope a Manger sees this and has a discussion with there Staff and security respecting the peopel and the less fortunate. Other than that the libray is nice and clean

My family and I love the St. George library! It’s practically our second home—mostly because it’s within walking distance and has air conditioning, now. Every time we walk in, we feel welcome (even the guards are friendly) . My son was a regular at baby lap sit story time and baby play time, with Douglas and Nobuko. Nobuko is a rock star with the little ones! She’s got them all mesmerized. I would like for them to incorporate a rule that no parents are allowed to talk on the phones. There was one incident where there was a disruptive parent that was literally cursing and Nobuko said absolutely nothing. I just grabbed my baby and left but we haven't returned since. As for the classes, can we talk about the random ones? They're great, but let’s get some more variety, please! How about more art classes that offer some real technical direction? I’m not asking for Picasso-level, just a little more than “chat and draw.” And maybe some new faces teaching computer literacy. Sometimes you need more than one way to figure out why the your Excel formulas aren't working, you know? The staff is generally helpful, though it sometimes feels like they’re glued to their chairs. But, if you’re persistent, they’ll eventually get up, stretch their legs, and help you out, at least that's my experience. Overall, the place is clean, and it’s clear the director is doing a good job. But here’s a fun idea: why not set up a suggestion pole where patrons can vote on the types of classes they’d like to see? A little democracy in our learning options wouldn’t hurt. Who knows, maybe we’ll see a class on how to get librarians to stand up faster. (Joke) Keep up the good work, St. George! We're rooting for you!

It is a Nice library. Very clean and quite. Friendly staff here. English classes are held here. If we want to learn English, we can go here and attend free classes.

The Staff is super helpful and 5 stars, but prints and copies cost double what you pay in Brooklyn. It has huge potential but underutilized...

This is a great place with historic significance and serves Staten Island community in the North Shore area. We at N4SF will try to collaborate with the library to conduct awareness programs for the state run energy literacy programs in these coming months.
