South Philadelphia Library | Philadelphia County, PA

We love this library for its friendly staff, extensive resources, and great kids' section. Our favorite librarian is Mister Ethan, who takes the time to remember our family and chat with our toddler. The staff is extremely knowledgable and helpful, and we appreciate all of the community services offered. I only wish they were open longer hours after work so we could frequent more often!

The staff were friendly and helpful in processing my book requests while our neighborhood branch is temporarily closed. They welcomed me warmly on the phone and when I arrived to return books and pick up holds. There is one, free 30-minute parking space in front of the library for a quick library errand like mine. This branch is open 2 evenings a week plus Saturdays.

Quiet, clean & organized; staff is friendly & helpful all hours of the day. This is Community Center as well but organized & fully staffed, so flow of traffic is reasonable.

Great public space next to the de Silvestro playground where kids can cool off play with toys in a nice play space or read books, and there are free restrooms for the public. Books and computers and magazines for adults, too!
