Reviews
I recently visited this library for an information session on an upcoming school, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. As I waited for the session to begin, I took the opportunity to explore the library, and I was immediately struck by its beauty and cleanliness. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Their willingness to assist patrons and answer questions added to the overall positive atmosphere of the library. One convenient feature of the library is its self-checkout services, which make borrowing books a breeze. This modern touch enhances the efficiency of the borrowing process and allows visitors to manage their library transactions independently. Exploring the downstairs area of the library revealed even more treasures in the form of an extensive collection of books. Whether you're a bookworm or simply enjoy browsing, there's something for everyone to discover in this well-stocked section. Overall, my experience at this library was exceptional. From its beautiful surroundings to its helpful staff and convenient services, it's a library that truly stands out. Whether you're attending an event or simply looking for a quiet place to read, I highly recommend paying a visit to this library.

Schimelpfenig Library is a gem for book lovers! The staff here is incredibly knowledgeable and always eager to help or offer guidance. One of my favorite things about this branch is their dedication to finding what you need—if a book isn't on their shelves, they will go out of their way to arrange a transfer from another branch for you. Beyond the impressive collection, it’s a perfect spot to get work done. They have reliable computers, printers, and scanners, making it easy to finish assignments or do research. Whether you're looking for your next great read or a quiet place to be productive, this library is a must-visit!

We went to the library for a program (wild time with the Dallas Zoo) and I think it was totally worth it! They brought several animals and explained each animal to the children at their level. Some kids are allowed to touch the snake and tortoise. Librarians are friendly and helpful to organize the crowd. Library itself is not a big size but cozy . children area has some blocks, kitchen set, alphabet letters, cars, dolls etc.

Librarians seemed nice. Good selection of books. However, if you’re considering a quiet place to work, these employees either don’t notice or don’t care when normal volume conversations or loud conversations on SPEAKER PHONE are happening. I listened to this woman speaking on the phone for 20 minutes. I could hear everything the other person said from across the room. I was too busy to get up and say something, but it was definitely loud enough for the employees to hear too. Didn’t feel like a library at all.

Good facilities. Don't use the "filtered" water machines– water from their tap tastes like it's connected to a sewer system. Otherwise, the library itself is quiet and a good place to study, or get work done.
