A conveniently positioned library catering to guests & cardholders alike! The Reference Desk was super friendly & courteous! The youngsters really seem to enjoy The Children's Room. There was a vast selection of books & computers available for usage. The hours were also useful to what we may deem as a "normal" person's schedule. The printing was very easy for a guest as well with a nominal fee of 20¢ per black & white copy.

Small single-floor library that still manages to have everything. Great children’s room, good seating options, and helpful staff. Can get a bit crowded, especially around toddler times.

The New York Public Library on Fifth Avenue is not just a library—it’s a treasure of history and knowledge. The building is stunning, especially the Rose Main Reading Room with its high ceilings and chandeliers. It feels like stepping into a palace of books. The free exhibitions are also worth seeing. Even if you’re not a big reader, the beauty of this place is worth the visit.

The staff are very friendly. I feel the entrance is a bit annoying and broken to not being accessible. The security guards are often too hawkish on regulars. Community efforts are often slow to put into practice. When concerns of discrimination like homophobia or intolerance is made, it’s often ignored. No quiet place for adults to do work.
