We came to this library in summer and in fall, and both times it was beautiful. There are plenty of seats inside, and the architecture design is pretty impressive. It’s pity that they used a curtain to cover the window inside; otherwise, I believe the view of the river must be stunning!

Beautiful building and great views throughout. It was my first time here, I wandered around and grabbed some books. I didn't know how it worked even though I have a NYPL card and asked and was kindly walked through the process. Everyone was super friendly and Amit at the front desk was really helpful. Hung out at the tables by the steps for a little and was able to get a lot of work done for a busier Friday afternoon! Can't wait to come back.

Given the building’s construction and design, I’m surprised the staff don’t encourage quieter voices and post signs as a reminder to be respectful. Sound travels extremely easily here. conversations from the first floor are clearly heard on the fifth, and even the simple act of pulling out a chair echoes throughout the entire space. Screaming children all the time. It makes it very difficult to concentrate or read. Don’t come without earphones. Only positive are the views of the city, but who cares? I’m here to study and read.

It's always interesting to see how differently people experience places. This is currently one of my favorite libraries in Queens... NYC has so many public libraries (over 215). The views, the space, the programs and the staff make this one great in my experience. I love the layout and multiple split levels, it almost feels like a play on Willy Wonka' factory in library form. Yes, you can take photos, but be courteous to others. Yes, people will pass by, so if you are hoping for solitude this may not be the space for you. Kids are to be expected here as well. Roof deck is not always open.

the seats, tables are very limited and it’s very noisy and distracting because of kids. Not a good place to study or work. The view is great though…
