Very nice. 1st time there today. Actually, the quietest library I've been in. Had a meeting there (3 ppl) and kept looking around because I thought we were talking to loud. I'll be back.

Charming neighborhood Library with magnifent architecture and supportive, engaging staff! Lovely gardens and trees planted by community volunteers. Folksy yet elegant experience as you ascend the white marble steps graced by Victorian Planters into a bastion of books beyond. This local treasure offers children, teenage and adult-friendly services alike!

The staff there are very courteous and helpful. I like that they offer many activities and engagements for children, especially after school program. They also provide a lot of info via fliers for job resources, training programs, upcoming events and entertainments for adults and children.

Love my neighborhood library. Been going here all my life and has a great selection of books. However there is this one employee, heavy set, and he watches over you like a hawk, it's kind of creepy.

I grew up in the 'new' neighborhood at 16th st and Stenton ave,, circa 1941. As a shy withdrawn adolescent my common experience was walking to the Oak Lane Branch library and reading across the shelves of fiction. Later in life when regretting the lack of social experience it comes to mind how much was gained. Thank you Mr Carnegie and the FREE Library of Philadelphia. Bob K,
