My Gym Chicago | Cook County, IL

About this class
My Gym is one of those places that's been around forever (like 40+ years) so they really know how to make kids feel awesome about themselves, even if your kiddo is the one who prefers to cling to your leg instead of joining circle time. They're all about building confidence through movement, which sounds fancy but basically means your little one gets to tumble, climb, and bounce around on equipment designed to make them feel like tiny superheroes. The vibe is super encouraging - they celebrate everything from first steps to finally going down that slide they've been eyeing for weeks, and you'll probably find yourself getting genuinely excited about things you never thought mattered before. It's the kind of place where all kids can succeed regardless of their personality or abilities, so whether you've got a future gymnast or a cautious observer, they'll figure out how to make it work. Because honestly, we all just want our kids to feel good about themselves and maybe tire them out enough for a decent nap later!
Families love how their little ones come home bursting with energy and new moves after class, ready to show off their latest gymnastic tricks!

My son and our guests had a blast at his birthday party. I was really worried that 1.5 hours would be too short but it was still great. They take care of everything for you including passing out your food and cake. Aayliah and Carly did an amazing job and were very fun and energetic.

Spent about $25 for a kids’ class here — my little one had fun, the instructor had great energy, but honestly the place felt kinda cramped and a bit chaotic. It’s cute, but it’s not cheap, and the classes fill up quick. Staff was nice but seemed a little overwhelmed. It’s fine for an occasional drop-in, but not sure I’d sign up for a long-term membership.

Our little one had his 4th birthday party at My Gym and he and his friends had an absolute blast. Everything was decorated as discussed and the My Gym team did a wonderful job in keeping the party going with lots of activities (ball pit, zip line, swings, circle time games, and many more) and really made sure that the kids, and especially the birthday kid, had a great time. The kids (and also the parents) told us how fun the party was. I really recommend the place for a birthday party. It was a great experience end-to-end from the initial contact emails until we said our good byes. We'll be back for one of their other events or parents night outs. Thanks again for making our little one's birthday such a memorable experience!

We’ve been attending the Ninja Jr. class for about a month, and unfortunately, it hasn’t been the positive experience I was hoping for. My son is very active and loves jumping, climbing, and tumbling, which is why I signed him up. However, the class structure doesn’t seem to support or engage kids with a lot of energy. The schedule is broken into short bursts of free play (which my son loves) followed by structured activities, where each child takes turns while the others are expected to sit completely still on the sidelines. For a group of 3-year-olds, this setup feels unrealistic. Expecting toddlers to sit still, “with a bubble in their mouths,” while watching 10 other kids go one by one, is not developmentally appropriate. My son struggled during these structured parts, which led to constant redirection from the staff. While he would stay in his assigned spot, he’d occasionally lay down, roll over, or kick his feet out of boredom. The redirection from staff was limited to empty threats like “if you don’t sit down, you’ll skip your turn,” which they never followed through on. Instead, he was consistently placed last, further fueling his impatience and frustration. What I found most disappointing was the lack of positive reinforcement. There was no acknowledgment when he was sitting still or trying his best to listen. Instead, the focus seemed to be on what he was doing wrong. After multiple reminders from the lead teacher that he was going last because of his behavior, the assistant teacher rolled her eyes at me and shook her head, which felt very unprofessional. At no point was I asked to help redirect him or step in to support, even though I offered. I want my son to enjoy and benefit from the class, but the negative reinforcement, lack of engagement during structured activities, and unrealistic expectations for toddlers made this a frustrating experience for both of us.

I’m beyond disappointed with this place. I booked a parents night out for my 4 year old, where they promise to buy Pizza, have a movie night and let a group of kids play together from 6-9pm. Sounds great, right? Yea, until you learn that they never actually fed your child. I intentionally didn’t feed my daughter dinner because I expected her to receive pizza as advertised. we came to pick up our daughter at 8:15 only to learn that the pizza never came because “the owner forgot to order it”. There were no snacks, nothing but water. I know several parents expected their children to eat dinner there, so these poor kids were just left to starve. Thank goodness I picked my daughter up early. I would not recommend parent night at this place.
