It was a wonderful place for a 3 year old to spend 2 hours on a road trip. Free parking. Reasonably priced. Lots of interesting activities crammed into the museum space. Several outdoor activities. We enjoyed it and would go again.

Stopped in for a few hours of play at Muse Knoxville on our road trip. They had a great variety of hands-on activities for the kids. The pneumatic tubes are always a family favorite. We also loved their outdoor space so we could soak in some sunshine before we head north. 😆noodle forest for the win The maker space is ultra well stocked. My oldest really liked the earthquake table where he could test his structures. The planetarium runs several shows daily. We were excited they have ASTC reciprocity! After our visit, we used one of the many picnic tables outside for a quick meal. There is also a playground out front that we enjoyed right after the museum closed.

We’ve been here several times and it’s always fun for my son. It’s $12 to get in, but you could easily stay all day. And there’s some discounted tickets. There’s outside areas too. They have reasonably priced snacks and drinks or bring your own lunch. I’m glad Knoxville has a place like this for kids to enjoy.

The exhibits are geared towards the younger crowd (ages 3-5 would be perfect for this), but my 7 year old did find many things to hold his interest, and my 1 year old loved the calm sensory exhibit. We also enjoyed the planetarium movie.

The Muse has many different stations and activities for kids. Each of the stations has some sort of educational aspect, so the kids are learning without even knowing. It’s a very inexpensive way for kids to have fun, learn, and get worn out!
