Great instructors. My daughters love it there. It's a great place to meet new friends. The instructors are like family and really care about the entire performance. This is big city dance right here at home. The price is affordable, and there's great individual attention. Thanks guys!

I came to watch my nieces in the Laurel dance recital. During the show, teachers and dancers were in the back of the auditorium screaming “let’s go” throughout the dances. This would be something to do to show support at a dance competition but not at a dance recital. Families only get one chance to see their kids on stage and it was ruined for me. There was one Mom who asked them to quiet down and that caused one of the teachers to bolt down and talk to the mom in what appeared to be a defensive way. I have no idea how this behavior could be defended. The screaming completely distracted from the show and it was so irritating that I couldn’t even focus on the show. After the confrontation, the teacher told the dancers to leave and they did. Then, next thing you know, three little girls come back into the auditorium to taunt the lady by screaming let’s go even louder. They were looking directly at her and pointing as they did it. These girls weren’t there at the beginning of the issue so they had to have been sent in to specifically taunt this lady. I have pictures of the teachers involved if you need them. I’m struggling so much with the idea that this teacher is supposed to be a role model and what I witnessed tonight was just disgusting.

My daughter danced at multiple dance studios in Billings , Montana and participated at the highest level of the traveling dance teams. Upon reflection of these studios, I must admit that Movement Montana far exceeded our expectations and our daughter danced her best at this studio. Hannah was an amazing instructor who was creative and wonderful with younger as well as older dancers . Erica was fantastic with ballet and pointe and achieved more than we ever expected for our daughter . She taught our daughter to be graceful and elegant. Last, Jaci, had the eye of the tiger and actual real world experience in the dance world and was able to push our dancer to new levels of achievement and creativity. We are so thankful for the opportunity to dance at Movement Montana .

The teachers and staff are all very nice but I am very sad to say I would not recommend this place after what we experienced. My daughter was in 2 classes. During the recital there was zero communication on where she should be and when which resulted in my daughter getting cut from her performance. Mind you we pay for 9 months of classes and lots of practices to watch this one performance and I was assured she was in good hands. Being super excited to see our daughter perform we invited our entire family who was very sad to not see her on stage. Just to add they didn’t have a clue where my child was prior to her class getting ready to go on stage. When her class was performing my daughter was devastated to see that she was not with her group and kept apologizing. Not a 5 years old responsibility to ensure she is where she needs to be and a parent should trust that their child is in good hands, after being told so, when they are back stage. I am crushed because not only did my daughter not perform the one dance we were most anxious to see we robbed her of the glory she should have received by being so angry and upset we invested so much only to see our daughter cut from the show. I hope that no parent will ever have to endure what we did at the recital. The instant panic feeling and the frustration was not something we should have felt at a recital. I would like to add that my daughter did enjoy the classes and the teachers were very nice. We were actually considering more classes next season and competitive dancing. But when you enroll your child the one thing you look forward to is the recital. A one day event that these kids work so hard for throughout the year so to not get to see her performance is still gut wrenching and painful. To add there is so much that you invest in to watch this ONE performance and again we were robbed of that and our daughter was robbed of performing due to lack of communication and not properly conducting a recital.

My daughter had taken several classes here since they opened. She absolutely loves her classes and teachers. She is learning new things, but at 5 I'm more concerned about the experience and opportunities for her to learn and interact when different children. The facility and staff are top notch and all of the other parents I've talked to have very positive feelings towards MVMT.
