About this class

CT Kids Time offers a Musikgarten Music & Movement class for newborns through age 5, run in a parent-child "Mommy & Me" format. Classes meet Fridays 9:30-10:15 AM or Saturdays 9:00-9:45 AM. The curriculum covers movement, listening, language development, and social interaction, with an emphasis on active participation. The Fall 2026 session runs September 7 through December 19, 12 classes total, at $28 per class ($336). The studio also offers a separate Introduction to Piano class for ages 4-6 that is not parent-child. Registration is through instructor Lynn Keyes by phone or email.

I highly recommend this music class for early introduction to music. The program is Montessori based and Miss Lynn does an outstanding job engaging children of all ages. Children are treated with respect and are welcomed to be themselves and explore their senses while learning about body movement, listening, self expression, self soothing, and social interaction. I started my daughter at 10 months and in just one full term (3 months) she has blossomed out of her shell and I can see an improvement in her listening and communication skills.

It was a good learning experience for my 4 year old son. He loves music! This intro class allowed him to try new types of instruments and be exposed to some musical language. The only thing he struggled with was sitting still!
