Seriously some of the best staff ever! We had a work meeting catering to teachers in the area yesterday in one of their rooms and Anthony assisted us with clearing out the room and adding tables. There was a display showing the books for Black Heritage month that was so good! Two people from our group got library cards. We are in a city where having our public libraries is such a valuable resource and they are catering to our stories. You can still find so many books on cultural history! There are a few computers there and plenty of tables to relax and read something!

This library has been around for a very long time. I reserved a conference room to host a meeting. The equipment was little dated but that doesn't take away anything. I was still able to have my meeting without any technical issues. The staff has all the cords you need to setup your laptop to show on the big screen. The staff is nice and friendly and answered any questions I had.

Clean, spacious, and an ideal location- close to the freeway and neighborhood public park. Icing and cherry on top was the staff. Extremely polite, eager to assist everyone who walked through the door and I was impressed to see bilingual staff members available when needed. (** Limited electrical outlets for personal laptops if you’re accustomed to larger or newer public libraries with ‘workspace seating areas’ throughout.)

After flood damage from Hurricane Harvey in August 2017, this the library was closed for 3 1/2 years. They did a beautiful job on the renovation. The librarians are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. HPL administration needs to work on getting new books into this library. When I browsed through adult fiction, the newest books are from 2017. The renovation looks good. The focus should shift to bringing the book collection up-to-date.
