Started new membership at Margaret Maddox. YMCA greeter stated I had to go to downtown and no city wide. I advised it should be city wide. She stated fine I will get my supervisor. SUPERVISOR stated main branch is downtown however city wide. Greeter has treated me horrible since and I have guests. Went to Donelson found out Margaret Maddox did my membership wrong and how they marked my guests. Never been treated so sub standard. Will be going to another YMCA going forward will never recommend this YMCA.

Beautiful, super clean, never too crowded and beyond friendly staff! I recently switched to this location from the Donelson YMCA, and the only things I’m really missing are the different ab machines. The only one (that I’ve found) is peeling from use and not very comfortable.

I have used a YMCA all over the country and never have I seen one that wouldn't sell a day pass or offer a guest pass without arriving with a member. I'm new to TN and don't know anyone and wasn't allowed to workout unless I got a membership. Poor management if you ask me.

The Margaret Maddox YMCA, aka East Nashville Country Club is THE BEST. Incredibly friendly staff. Variety of workout options. Indoor/outdoor pool is spectacular! My granddaughter loves going to the Yplayroom, too!

I want to take a moment to express my gratitude and appreciation for the YMCA and the wonderful community it fosters. The YMCA isn’t just a facility; it’s a hub where people of all ages and walks of life come together to connect, grow, and support one another. Where else can I find myself in a conversation with someone 30 years my senior and 30 years my junior, all while striving to shed a few extra pounds and work stress? As a midlife man carrying a bit of both (stress and pounds), the Y has been a lifeline—a place where I can clear my head, take care of my health, and build meaningful connections. Above all, I’m grateful for what the YMCA offers—not just as a fitness facility but as a cornerstone of our community. Thank you for being a place that truly brings people together.
