This library is no where near as welcoming or as friendly as The Lucien Blackwell Library on 52nd Street, which is an AMAZING resource to the community. The folks there are super friendly, always willing to help, cross-trained and there is a HUGE computer area! When you walk in the door, someone always greets you. Kingsessing is an entirely different vibe. Certainly adequate computer resources & staff, but, again, not particularly welcoming or engaging. Doesn't feel "community friendly."

We have been visiting this library location this year since our closest library is closed for renovations. Were it closer, we would definitely continue to go even when the other reopened. The story time ("block party") has never failed to introduce us to fun new books. And it's refreshing to let the kids play with blocks instead of singing and dancing since my daughter never wants to join the dancing at other story times we've attended. The staff is very friendly and helpful whether suggesting books or helping to locate a hiding toddler.

Great location, very intimate like a Library should be. It's a small branch, but I'm not complaining at all! Any time I have to go here, the staff are always helpful & I can get things done in one peace. This has been my favorite branch for the last 3-4 years over the others.
