Recent renovations place Inwood Library among the most stunning in the entire NYPL system. The branch is spacious, with plenty of room for quiet reading, study and computer use. There are private study rooms available for reservation, and large dedicated areas for children and teens. There are bathrooms and water fountains on both floors. Upstairs you’ll find more workspace, an Adult Learning Center and a community/meeting space. This library is for everyone.

It's a really nice library with two floors and plenty of seating. It can get pretty busy on the weekends. In terms of book selection, there is much to be desired. There are really not a lot of books in this library. Overall a great place to study.

It’s a beautiful and spacious library that is well divided and thoughtfully designed. You have space for laptops, quiet study, group study, lounging & reading. Honestly it’s a place I like to call my 2nd home

I recently re-discovered the NYPL after always going as a kid w/ my Mom. I've been borrowing many genres of old and new books. I forgot you can also rent DVDs! The staff are always patient, friendly and helpful. There are also puzzles you can do at the library, too. I have yet to do the Shelf Help personalized book selection service, but I can't wait to try once I read more books! I tell everyone to remember to go to their local library!

The library has moved to a storefront a half block up & on the other side of the street. The staff is still super lovely, & they have a few programs to allow “browsing” even though you can’t touch something if you’re not taking it home. So glad my library is open again safely!!!
