Growing Littles | Cumberland County, ME

We love Growing Littles! We first found Jess through her Little Explorers program and have since joined classes, special events, and even hosted our daughter's 3rd birthday in their beautiful space. My kids really enjoy the curated play space and it's a great way to meet other parents! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a bright, fun, clean space to bring their kiddos to play!

Growing Littles is THE place. We have found so much information, many of our providers, and a wonderful community in their classes and groups - if you only choose one class/group to join in the area, this is the one. We started with their expecting parents series, which gave us so much information we didn’t find in other classes. And their baby support group has been wonderful in the first few months when everything felt hard. Something unique we noticed about Growing Littles is the openness and support for all types of parents, births, and parenting choices. I never felt anyone try to convince me how we should do something - but there was always an effort to make people feel supported and share resources if you ask for them.

Growing Littles has been an amazing recourse for us and truly helping in growing. The classes are phenomenal. We started going there in the fall of 2022 and did 3-4 session through the spring of 2023. Going to do explorer class with field trips this summer. Our indoor class had songs, stories, sensory learning, nature projects and a lot of free play. The whole facility is very clean, friendly, and just overall with a great vibe. Complimentary tea and coffee and a clean bathroom sure made all easier as well. Jess and her team has made our experience nothing but great. We’ve met new friends and we stay in touch with Jess on Instagram. She’s a very knowledgeable children development professional and a great mom and has been there to answer any questions I’ve had regarding the classes, motherhood, childhood, and places to check out. We took the Postpartum Planning Series for Expecting Parents at the beginning of this year and absolutely loved it. The structure of this class is so great - each week a different expert is brought in to go in depth into a range of topics (we talked to a lactation consultant, a doula, a relationship therapist, etc) and since it's a small class size you have the opportunity to ask lots of questions and learn so much. Jess has done an incredible job putting this together and it really does fill in a lot of the gaps we felt were present from the more traditional baby/birth classes we've been taking so we were glad we did both. Can't recommend this highly enough for any new parents out there!

Growing Littles is such a significant piece to my postpartum experience. In the depths of the newborn weeks, I found community, knowledge, and experiences that removed the feeling of isolation that so many parents are overcome with during the biggest change in one’s life. The newborn class (which is free!) brought confirmation that I wasn’t the only person going through trouble with breastfeeding, witching hour, and the journey of figuring out which sleep suit worked best. Every parent came judge-free, willing to offer the kindest advice. The perinatal professionals that are brought in provide an educated insight to any leaps you may be needing additional information on (I especially loved the pelvic floor therapist that taught a few baby & me yoga classes!). Outside of newborn class, Jess plans and facilitates incredible events throughout the year which has been a great opportunity for my baby to get out of the house, socialize and do a craft! Growling Littles will continue to be apart of our family calendar as baby grows from newborn, to baby, to toddler.
