Downtown YMCA | Douglas County, NE

Downtown YMCA offers Stage A (Water Discovery) and Stage B (Water Exploration) swim lessons for children ages 6 months to 3 years, in the parent-and-child category. A parent or caregiver gets in the pool with the child for both stages. Stage A introduces infants and toddlers to the water through exploration, while parents learn about water safety and drowning prevention. Stage B has parents working with children on body positions, floating, and blowing bubbles. The Y defines "parent" broadly to include any adult with primary responsibility for the child.
