Derby Public Library runs several free, drop-in storytime programs for young children and caregivers. Baby Storytime (birth to 12 months) meets Thursdays at 10am with board books, rhymes, bounces, and action songs. Toddler Time (ages 1-3) runs Fridays at 10am and 11am with picture books, fingerplays, and music. Building Blocks Read & Play, also Thursdays, pairs Montessori-based storytime with self-directed play for babies and toddlers. Preschool Storytime (ages 3-5) meets Tuesdays and Wednesdays with books, songs, finger plays, and puppet shows. No registration is required.
