Deer Park Public Library's Children's Services offers parent-and-child programs for babies through preschoolers. "Tiny Songbirds" and "Shake & Make Music" (birth to 5, with an adult) use live music, instruments, scarves, and movement. "PlayHooray" (birth to grade 1) combines singing, dancing, and play, while a dinosaur-themed storytime and "Little Scientists," a hands-on STEAM program for ages 3-5, round out the offerings. "Matt the Music Man" brings an interactive live music show with sing-alongs and puppets for ages up through grade 5. Programs are announced in the library's bimonthly newsletter and require registration with the child's Deer Park library card.
