Child’s Play is like a home away from home. I’m so grateful for this theatre program! It has truly helped my child grow in her acting craft by encouraging creativity, quick thinking, and confidence on stage. Beyond acting skills, the classes and camaraderie among students and instructors have been wonderful for building my child’s socio-emotional abilities—like listening, empathy, and teamwork—in a fun, supportive way. The warm, welcoming community created by the instructors makes every session feel safe and inclusive, allowing my child to thrive both as a performer and as a person. Even as a parent I feel the sense of community whether through the shared emails, updates about rehearsals or even a text to say I am running late. I highly recommend Child’s Play for any parent looking to nurture their child’s talents and social growth!

The Child's Play NY team helped to make our daughter's 5th birthday party a magical experience for her. The team was so easy to work with, patient with all of our questions, creative, kind, and collaborative. The teachers that led the party were so special and talented. We would highly recommend them not only for birthday parties but anyone interested in pulling together a class for their children's organization or a private event for children.

My daughter has done multiple Child's Play NY activities over the years (after school program at her school, 2 birthday parties, 2 musicals, and one week of summer camp). All off them have been incredible. When I initially signed her up for Child's Play I had no idea how much emotional growth could happen in an after school program. But when I have run lines with her, the way she says things like "Mom!! You wouldn't say it like that if you were sad!!" Has shown me how much the directors/teachers help the kids get to know their own "internal words" and those of the character they are portraying. And the performances are always a blast!! The kids are so proud of their work!!

Child's Play put together the most thoughtful, joyful and FUN birthday party theater games for our 9 year old's birthday. They took all of our kid's favorite movies, songs and games and made a magical event. We are so happy that we worked with them! Child's Play is the best.

My 8 year old son had an amazing experience at the week-long Child's Play summer camp. He has been shy or nervous at other camps, but from the first day he was at ease and excited at Child's Play. He felt supported, challenged, and invigorated by the work the group did together. The minute he came off stage at the end of the week performance, he said, "Sign me up for next summer!"

My son loves the Child’s Play After School Program at Arts and Letters! The staff are caring, talented, and create a fun, inspiring environment. He comes home excited, full of creativity and confidence. Highly recommend!

Love this program. My child has participated in summer camps for the last two years and has had such a fulfilling experience. The teachers are warm and engaging, and clearly know how to bring a group of kids together to work towards a common goal. I just wish we had time to enroll for the school year programs as well.

Being able to drop my sensitive four year old off without any worries and pick up my happy child everyday…I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. My daughter is introverted at times and Alia and Natasha made her feel seen and made a part for her so she could still participate! Would go back again and again and likely will!
