I absolutely love the classes at Central YMCA! The Fight Cardio class with Rayvon is my absolute favorite—it’s an incredible workout that combines boxing techniques with high-energy cardio. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced, Rayvon’s teaching style is motivating, and he pushes you to improve every session. It’s both challenging and fun, making it the perfect workout! I also have to give a shoutout to Heather’s Xtreme Hip Hop Step class—it’s such an electrifying experience! The energy, the music, and the routines make it a fantastic way to stay fit while having a blast. If you’re looking for a place with great instructors and amazing classes, Central YMCA is the spot. Highly recommend!

I've been going to the Central YMCA quite frequently for the last few months, and I honestly love it here. The facility is always spotless, and there's a great variety of machines and equipment, so it's easy to mix up my workouts. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the same goes for the members—it’s a really welcoming and down-to-earth community. One thing I was concerned about before joining was the issue of filming and tripods, which can be a big distraction at other gyms. I’m happy to say that’s not a problem here, at least in the early 5:30-7am crowd. So that is a big win! The highlight for me, though, is the cardio boxing class. I'm absolutely obsessed. It's offered Monday through Friday, and I especially love the Tuesday and Thursday sessions, which fit perfectly in my schedule. Rayvon, the instructor, is fantastic—super knowledgeable, motivating, and kind. I came in as a total beginner, and I’ve felt nothing but encouraged by both him and the other participants. The progression in the class is real, and it's such a great workout. If you’re looking for a clean, supportive gym with great energy and top-notch classes, I can’t recommend Central YMCA enough!

Great staff, very welcoming and friendly. I usually only come to the central YMCA for its squash courts as they are the only ones for miles. Sadly they are quite old and a bit dirty. Not to mention there’s little to no AC anymore that makes the temperature higher than they should be. Hopefully they can clean the courts more often and frequently and provide proper air conditioning.

The Fight Cardio class at Central Y with instructor Rayvon is absolutely amazing! His energy, passion, and ability to push and motivate everyone make this class one of the best workouts available. He keeps things challenging and fun while ensuring proper technique, making it perfect for all fitness levels. With that in mind, I strongly believe Central Y should bring back the HIIT training course that was previously led by Greg—and Rayvon would be the perfect instructor for it. Many members, myself included, relied on HIIT as a key part of our fitness routines, and its absence has left a gap in the schedule. Rayvon’s dynamic coaching style and expertise would make HIIT just as successful as Fight Cardio, giving members another much-needed option for high-intensity training. Bringing HIIT back with Rayvon leading it would be a huge benefit to the community. I hope Central Y considers adding it back to the schedule!
