About this class

Carolyn Dutra Dance Studio runs "Toddler & Me," a 30-minute class for children ages 16 months to 3 years with a participating adult caregiver. Sessions combine dance, sensory-motor activities, interactive songs, rhythm activities, obstacle courses, and props. Children do not need to be potty trained. The class runs September through June and ends with a June recital in which both children and caregivers perform. It serves as an introduction to dance school before children move on to the independent Preschool class.

The BEST dance studio in Rhode Island! When my oldest was 2 we left another local studio we didn’t like for multiple reasons, and joined CDDS with a friend and her daughters. It’s been 6 years and now both my daughters (almost 8 and 4) belong there and it’s been wonderful ever since! All the staff and teachers are always so welcoming and encouraging all while instilling beautiful technique and exceptional professionalism that these dancers can one day actually use in the real world if they so choose to continue dancing! Love CDDS!

Our Daughter has been dancing at the Carolyn Durta Dance Studio for eight years, since age 2. We love being part of the Carolyn Durta Dance family! As an only child her dance friends are her sisters! The studios are run very professional and are extremely well organized. The teachers and staff are amazing! The studio has not only taught our daughter about dance they also help develop manners, kindness, confidence, creativity, teamwork and age appropriate responsibility and accountability.

My niece goes here and she loves it. I was told by my sister something that disturbed me so I wanted to leave my review on it. There is a parent here going through some legal issues with behavior problems and drinking problems and brings his daughter here. I don’t know them personally but I would have hope that the studio would inform people since he brings her here but they have not done anything nor seem they care when a couple people have already complained my sister told me. Hopefully something gets done so people don’t stay pulling their children out and bring them somewhere else!
