Hi! it’s a beautiful facility, active with people, and the staff are amazing and so friendly. However, as national members, we were not able to drop off our child in childcare. We have stopped in so many cities and I’ve been able to utilize the services YMCA offers. We are not rich and one of the best parts of the YMCA is that I’m able to drop my child off while I do some work/fill out applications, even shower. It’s pretty frustrating considering we were in a really nice part of town. It seems like an organization that should be focused on public service is focusing on exclusivity. Now this could be presumptive and I hope that’s not the case. This was a decision made by leadership and I would like to know why… how many national members could possibly be coming in on a daily basis that they need to create a rule like this. I just feel like this is not in the interest of the regular working class.

The Carl E. Sanders YMCA location is the best Y facility I’ve ever seen. They offer so many great group workout classes, their tennis and pickleball programs are fun to be apart of and the facility is so clean and tidy!!! Not to mention, the staff is so helpful and sweet! There are opportunities to volunteer in their community Y events which is also amazing and I definitely recommend getting a membership here!

My husband and I have been members for 3 years and love this YMCA. Everyone is friendly, classes are great and we love the energy here.

I highly recommend swim classes here specifically with Coach Patricia M. My son had a traumatic experience during swim lessons in the past at another business. However, Coach Patricia worked with him to establish a safe/, trusting relationship with then gave him skills to build his confidence in the water. Thanks to her, he loves the water. We drive 30 minutes just to train with her despite having a closer Y 10 minutes away from our house.

Really nice location and the outdoor pool is so fun. $120 a month for family membership is ridiculous considering the “childcare” is just turning on YouTube for the kids while the caretakers sit on their phones. I’m really sad there’s not a good gym option with childcare in Atlanta. I’m not paying the exorbitant membership fee for my kid to be glued to a screen.
