Nice location...quiet, lots of books, looks a little overwhelming when first walking in. But nicely organized. Lots of self checkout. No elevators for upstairs or downstairs.

Very accessible library as it is just a short 5 minute walk from the Q stop. Not my local library but stopped in because they were having a $1 book sale and thought I'd check it out! Looks small from the outside but there are three levels inside and two of them have a good amount of seating.

Sheepshead Bay Library offers great courses and is a cultural center offering different performances. The Steps Into Dance Ballroom Workshop with Oksana Tryakina has been a life changing experience for me. Oksana is an excellent dance instructor. She is very inspirational and it is a joy to be in her class. 10 week Ballroom Workshop has given me an opportunity to learn some dances, something that I never experienced until now. It has improved my physical, cognitive, perceptual, and coordination skills and given me an opportunity to meet some nice people. Thank you to Assemblyman Michael Novakhov for supporting a grant that made this possible in winter 2025. It would be great if another grant was available this spring/summer to allow ballroom dances to continue.
