Reviews
The Kensington Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library is a welcoming and well-maintained community space that offers a calm and comfortable environment for reading, studying, and working. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist with finding books or using library resources. The collection is diverse, covering a wide range of topics, and the space is generally clean and organized. It’s especially great for students and remote workers who need a quiet place to focus. Overall, it’s a valuable neighborhood resource that supports learning, productivity, and community engagement.

For the second time I was ambushed by library staff for comments made not on Facebook or social media but here on Google reviews. There was another tribunal 3 against me . The administrator a librarian and a security guard. I never had anything negative to say about the librarian. She was never particularly interested in being helpful whether this is cultural or something else I don't know. There weren't that many staff to go to now there is even less. I feel disrespected. How do they expect to be shown respect when they don't show respect in return. They exist in a protective bubble where everything is normal oblivious to what is going on. I don't know what alternate reality they are existing in but it isn't this one. I was manipulated by the administrator. The key take away from this is the manipulation and disingenuousness. The terms Breach of Duty and Duty of Care applies here. One more thing, it's hypocritical to go after me when the patrons are the one's that have no regard for property (books) and deliberately deface them by marking them in permanent ink. ( not me of course).

It looks nice but whoever designed this library didn’t understand the concept of quietness. It’s built more like a MALL. Adult and children sections should have been built in a way to minimize nose. Difficult to concentrate in this library. One can hear all the noise and activity from upstairs. Adults are also heard talking loudly as if it’s a cafe. Folks on their phones playing music. Staff or security should enforce the rules.

This is among one of the newer Brooklyn public libraries. The design and atmosphere of the building make is warm and cozy place to hang out. The librarians are patient and kind. There is a vast amount of variety and range of books to chose from. The books are kept in good condition and are considerably new for the most part. In my experience, this library is a great place to go to if you need to relax or get away from life for a few hours.

This is a really nice library overall—clean, quiet, and a good place to get work done. The staff is helpful and the computers are usually solid, though I did run into a few issues with them here and there. They’ve got a decent setup for printing and using Wi-Fi too. Only downside is they didn’t have most of the books I was looking for, which was a bit disappointing. Still, it’s a great spot to study or just relax for a bit.
