The staff are friendly, approachable, and genuinely helpful — if you’re looking for something specific or need recommendations, asking for guidance is definitely the quickest and easiest way to find the perfect pick. We picked up a few great finds during our visit and will absolutely be back for more the next time we’re in town.

I stopped in to buy one book for a baby shower and ended up wanting half the store. The selection is incredible and so thoughtfully curated. I came 30 minutes before closing, and they kindly stayed open a bit later so I could keep browsing. The young gentleman who helped me was very knowledgeable about age-appropriate books and perfect choices for different occasions. Amazing service, amazing variety. Highly recommend! I will absolutely be back! Thank you!

This is an incredible bookstore in Manhattan. I stumbled upon Books of Wonder about a year ago while visiting NYC. I was looking for books for my daughter. The staff was incredibly helpful and provided great recommendations. I had such a great experience then that I returned recently with my daughter. Based on my daughter's interests, Rosalind provided us with multiple recommendations while telling us about the story in each book. I don't get this kind of service in my library, nor my local B&N. In my experience, Rosalind's level of professionalism and knowledge is unparalleled. We left with 4 books this afternoon, and my tween already finished one of her murder mysteries tonight. I think we will bs back to visit Books of Wonder soon!

My son is a huge Gordon Korman fan. So far we have every book he has ever written. I wanted to do something special for his birthday in March and reached out to Mr. Korman who referred me to books of wonder to order a personalized copy of his new book. I ordered the book in Oct 2025. Book released in Feb 2 and was to ship 2/6/2026. When I ordered the book I paid in full. As my son’s birthday approached I still didn’t have the book. I had to reach out to the company who in returned offered to refund my money only given the explanation that Mr. Korman has yet to come in and sign the books. I quickly declined as I STILL WANT the book for my son!!! They updated there website to pre order by 3/13 and book will ship 3/16. A label was printed 3/17 and remains in pre ship status and it’s now 3/23. I have every intention of using it in his Easter basket now, but I’m highly concerned it will not be here by then either. I left and message and no one called me back today. If I was not in Ohio I would pay the store a visit to find out what the flip. Not an option. I would not recommend this company. I will never do business with them after I receive my personalized copy I paid in full for over 6 months ago.
