Blue Willow Bookshop | Harris County, TX

Finally made it out here to this wonderful nook full of interesting books. The children's section is huge and close half the of the store. The adult area has real interesting finds with a focus on "indie" books and authors. There's a good selection of games, puzzles and knick-knacks for gifts or personal use 😄. Blue Willow has been here 29 years and they promote other indie bookstores in the Houston Metro. There is a space next door for events which are held on the regular. The event authors sign their names on the walls above the bookcases. Cool 😎. The staff is welcoming and super knowledgeable. Definitely recommend visiting Blue Willow. 👌🏻

I’ve heard about this place and saw that it was part of the Houston Book Crawl so I decided to check it out. This is a lovely small bookstore and the staff is very friendly and willing to help you find what you need. The books are pretty much spread out so they try to organize them in alphabetical order but it was hard to figure out genres where they’re at exactly so I had to ask for help and of course it was right in front of me lol I will say the value of the books I was looking at were way higher than I expected than online prices but I get it that it’s a local bookstore. Plus it’s a brand new hardcover book. Other than that it’s a cute shop and they seem to have fun events from time to time here so I’ll check it out.

Best independent book stores in Houston!! My wife and kids love going and seeing the new books! The staff are friendly and always helpful. They also have amazing events. We just saw David Shannon for the second time!

I absolutely adore this bookstore! It is so cute, and the staff is very friendly. I always feel welcome. They have a great book selection as well! Although I'm in the Spring area they're definitely on my indie bookstore rotation, they're worth the drive!
