I’m really disappointed with this library. Although it might not always be crowded, when one area does get full, they have a strict limit of about ten people. If that area has no seats left, you can’t just move to another section, even if that other section is completely empty. They simply don’t let you stay. Basically, once there are about ten people, you’re told to leave because they won’t let you sit anywhere else. It’s really frustrating.

Nice public library close to Bronx Little Italy with work computers, Wifi, thousands of books, ample seating, restrooms and friendly staff. There a good amount of public events happening here week for people of each age group. They have books from all genres and nice collection of Italian and different world languages books. They also have a lot of books on Immigration and citizenship tests for immigrants to read.

Excellent exhibit about Dante Aligheri in the lobby. I went for job fair, but stayed to view the exhibit and register for a NYC Culture Pass.

I decided to finally visit this library and sat in the only area that had available tables. After setting up my computer I was kicked out because that area was reserved for “young adults.” I felt confused and embarrassed because I am a young adult and they never asked for my ID but according to them it is ages 12 to 18. It would be nice if they either blocked off the area or had clear signs because it’s a very discouraging experience to visit your local library and feel unwelcomed like that, especially when we already have limited workspaces in the Bronx.

As a teen(14) at this library, it's a friendly place as long as you behave and act accordingly. Yes, the staff do come up to you and keep close eye on you if you are a teen/child but as long as you stay quiet, do what you're allowed to and don't act disrespectful, it's a great library to study and read at. (Btw Staff are amazing and great at their jobs!)
