Battery Park City Library | Manhattan, NY
About this class

Good cozy library. It’s not big. There’s only 1 floor available. There’re some tables with plugs. Clean. 1 restroom and you need to ask the front desk for key. Clean. It’s close to the ferry and the seaside with Great views. I took ferry here from Jersey City, and the view was great 👍 The downside might be there’s only 1 restroom, and sometimes it can be crazy here since reading area is on the same floor of children area.

Recommended. New, compact library with ample seating, many PCs and an excellent children’s section. Great option post Asphalt Green.

Pretty nice library (clean and cozy). Staff is very friendly. The only one thing I found is that it is not too quiet there.

I love discovering new and fantastic things by accident. And the Battery Park City Lib is one of those things. Prior to my little adventure around Tribeca I didn't even know this location existed. Nestled behind Whole Foods, BB&B and Barnes & Nobles it actually in a great location. The library is equal distance between the water & the subway and situated in a beautiful building, which just happens to be Green LEED certified. I didn't venture to the 2nd floor (rumor has it there's magazines & a reading room up there) but the first floor is easy to navigate, clean and even though it was filled with at least a dozen nice sized tables w/ chairs it was really quiet. Should I need a spot to sit and read/study this would definitely be on my list. the large windows in both the front of the building in the back don't hurt for scenery either. Staff behind the desk made checkout super easy, which means I'm totally adding BPCL to the list of fav. branches in Manhattan. (If I had such a list... )

Beautiful library with a great selection of books and amenities such as computers, wifi, and outlets to charge your phones and laptops. The staff/employees are all super friendly and helpful. They keep this very important community place/space looking amazing. They provide a very welcoming, calm, and peaceful atmosphere/environment that everyone can enjoy. ❤️🪶 There is lots of nice seating available near large picture windows that overlook Teardrop Park. This library is in a beautiful location of the city and is very conveniently located near the Poets House library, which also overlooks Teardrop Park and the North (Hudson) River and Espalanade.
