Ballet Academy of Charleston runs a Mommy and Me class for children ages 18 months to 3 years, in which a caregiver joins the child for movement and song. It meets Thursdays from 9:00 to 9:45am. Creative Movement follows for ages 3 to 5, introducing movement and rhythm over 45-minute sessions offered Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Both classes run 45 minutes. Children ages 6 to 8 can progress to Pre-Ballet, a separate drop-off class.

I grew up taking classes at Ballet Academy of Charleston and was so excited to return as an adult a few years ago. Jess, the owner, actually used to be one of my ballet teachers as a child! She has created such a welcoming environment, and her adult ballet classes are the absolute greatest. She even offers an adult barre class, and that has been a fabulous addition to my workout routine! I am so thankful for BAC and the ballet family it has given me!

My 4 year old twins have been going to ballet academy for the past 2 years. We love it. Miss Jessica and all the teachers are amazing. The girls love going to dance each week and my 16 month old can’t wait to start! We also did the Frozen summer camp which the girls looked forward to every day. It’s a wonderful school and we are very happy we found them!

Ballet Academy of Charleston is fabulous! My daughter has been attending BAC for years and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. The teachers are so compassionate and care so much about each student. The warmth from teachers and parents is amazing. My daughter loves it and more importantly I love it!

My daughter is very excited to attend the weekly creative dance sessions at BAC. We've been visiting the studio for over a year and have always found the instructors to be wonderful with the kids, bringing both excitement and calm nurturing that keeps the youngsters focused on the dance moves. My kiddo has increased confidence and has found a love of dancing because of BAC. Definitely recommend.

The best ballet academy in charleston, hands down. My daughter has tried several as her goal is to be like her idol, Misty Copeland. The school is diverse, structured, and worth every penny. They are so affordable for our family of 14 since all 12 of our children are in extracurricular activities. My daughter has been going here for over a year and she loves it. ❤️
