Ascension Parish Library runs a series of caregiver-and-child storytime programs for children from birth through age 8. Babytime is an interactive session for babies 0-18 months, about 15 minutes plus social time; Toddler Storytime (15 months-2 years) and Preschool Storytime (ages 3-5) run roughly 25-30 minutes and welcome the whole family. Monthly Pajama Storytime is an evening, pajama-themed session for children 8 and younger. Amigos Time is a bilingual English/Spanish storytime, and Play Dates at the Galvez branch in Gonzales let babies and toddlers play and socialize Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10-11am. Seasonal programs run 8 weeks each spring, summer, and fall.
