First time checking out open gym for toddler time and my daughter had so much fun. We definitely will be back. Staff was nice and great time talking with other moms about their interest in gymnastics with their kids as well.

It has taken me months to write this review because I’ve hesitated to find the proper words to express our experience with this gym! We left after 3 seasons in Silver. My daughter gave it her all and did amazing when competing, winning and placing in the top 3 ALL AROUND!! But that wasn’t good enough for her coach as she kept her in Silver all 3 seasons! First year, okay I get it, she’s new, let’s go a second year. Second year, okay I questioned it..she missed the championship due to an injury she sustained during practice, and that absence counted against her? Okay, I can understand because I know they have a “points” system they follow on each girl to advance them to the next level. Alright! Whatever! It’s not fair, but we’re positive! Let’s heal and go a third year, I KNOW we’re going to shine!! Third year, my daughter became very discouraged early on in the season as the coaches were only attentive to the NEW Silver girls! This decreased her motivation to continue a third year, but I did what any parent would do and I uplifted my daughter’s hurt spirit! Fast forward to the end of the season, during the state championship, my daughter missed her squat on in her bar routine and teared up. This was the FIRST TIME she had EVER cried in any competition and you can guess why! Anyways, she got 3RD ALL AROUND!! At the end of that season, I was told that my daughter wasn’t “mentally” ready or prepared and that she wouldn’t be moving up!! WTF!?!? Three seasons of commitment, and patience, and understanding, three seasons of hard work and she’s not mentally ready???? I was even more upset when all the new silver girls moved up so quickly..smh..I tried reaching out to the owner but I only received a message from the front office that he will not be meeting with me because “he does not intervene with his coaches and their decision”. I didn’t need his pettiness, I simply wanted to speak upon the coaches decision and get some explanation on her conclusion. And that was my last straw!! There’s definitely favoritism and coaches choose what girls they prefer and like better!! My daughter wasn’t one of them and it showed!! We felt discriminated!! :( On another note, I do want to say that Gabi (in the front desk) is the greatest and she always did her best to help me!! She always welcomed us in with a smile!!

We have been on and off with Alamo for some time now and solely picked this place due to convenience. I have twins, one in boys class and one girls class and although my son had a good coach, my daughter did not. She was very unengaged and never helped spot or try different things to keep it interesting. She would have her phone with her during class and sometimes even had a Starbucks drink. We definitely were not getting our moneys worth at Alamo and I didn’t make the effort to get my kids to class every week to feel like it was just a babysitter rather than a coach teaching new skills. We have since moved gyms and wow, what a difference it is. It is night and day difference and 100% better. Alamo needs lots of improvement but hiring better coaches would be a great first step!

Brought my daughter here 4 a trial class and she really enjoyed it. The instructor was very professional. He is very good at what he does and you can tell is very experienced in working with children based off of his level of patience and his way of instructing. the staff was very professional and good with communication as well. We felt right at home and my daughter had a great time
