If you’re considering ATB for recreational or pre-team gymnastics, it’s an okay place to introduce your child to the basics and build foundational skills. However, if your child is placed on a team, I would recommend looking elsewhere. The gym is extremely overcrowded, with a student-to-coach ratio often around 15 to 1, which leaves very little opportunity for individualized coaching or progression. The girls primarily work on basic skills, and unfortunately, due to the overcrowding, there’s not much room for growth or advancement. When comparing ATB’s team to others at competitions, the difference in skill level is very noticeable. It’s clear that the gym prioritizes volume over development at the team level.

The secretary impersonated the Korean gymnastics coach by putting her fingers to her eyes pulling back. She danced her head side to side and made a racist slur. The owner laughed and said "how's his driving." This was at a leadership meeting. This is my review of the facts as they occurred, thus is protected speech and not libel.

Our daughters have been attending ATB since they were littles in the parent and child classes. All instructors we have come in contact are so great and friendly with our littles.

Unfortunately our daughter was let down by this place. We were excited to sign her up for her first age 3-5 dance class, and she had a nice first class, but they failed to mention that her second class would be a mini performance for a room full of parents. Our 3-year-old was caught off guard and cried the whole time, and didn’t want to come back. We asked her why she was upset and she said that the room full of adults was scary to her, which is understandable for a little 3-year-old who only had one class ever. We convinced her to try it again and she had a meltdown outside the room and wouldn’t go in because she was too scared due to her last experience. Seriously, if a 3 year old signs up for a class that has a performance in a week, how did it not cross your mind to bring it up? I’m disappointed that this studio was more interested in our tuition money than developing a young child’s love of dance. Maybe if they cared more they would have suggested we start a few weeks later. Now she’s scared of it and the studio will not be receiving any more of our tuition money... seems a little counterintuitive compared to the mission of this studio. Hope we can convince her to try again in the future somewhere else.

I especially appreciate having options for boys that they really enjoy and that aren't just adapted versions of the girls' classes. It's also really good having male coaches who are excellent role models. Nice facility, great teachers, small classes.
