I've been going here since I was a kid when my mom would take me..now I'm taking my daughter. Great way to spend some quality time with someone you love! We had a great time, made some memories, and make some keepsakes!

Both times I've been to Mad Potter, we were met with a staff that was less than professional. Both times, the employee was more interested in getting back to their phone than checking us out. Last time, we even had to prompt them to close out the transaction. When we made the 40 minute trip to pick up the pottery, they were closed even though it was within normal business hours. Tried calling and their VM is not set up. To their credit, there was a small note on the door stating they reserve the right to close early if not busy. I would understand that business strategy if the prices were reasonable and keeping overhead down was critical, but a basic plate and cup ran over $70. The selection is not great, but the kids had a good time, so we repeated. Probably won't be back at this point unless something changes. High cost should equal selection, friendly customer service, and consistent business hours to accommodate customers picking up their product - or at least one of the three.

We went on a Saturday night and walked in the door at 7:04. Was told we couldn’t paint. Door said they closed at 9 and seemed plenty busy with 5 other groups of people there. Saying you’ll won’t take 2 people in 2 hours before you close when the sign clearly says 1 hour is HORRIBLE business. I’ll be happy to go to the pottery place by the mall moving forward. We drive 40 minutes to do this and so disappointing.

The employee seemed annoyed to have customers. I told her it was our first time at Mad Potter and she pointed at a table and told us to read the instructions. There are tons of supplies, but she didn't explain where to find anything or how to use items on the pottery. Even the signage was rude. Save your money for a different art studio that might be excited to see their customers.
