Employees are always nice and the new remodel is a good improvement, but this place still drives me nuts. I only come here for the weight room and weights are never racked correctly. Id go to any other Y if possible but this location is just too convenient for me, even if it means constant headaches trying to get the weight I need from racks.

Me and my buddy came here to swim on a saturday. Been a y member for a long time, but this is my first time at South Y. Immediately upon entering the aquatic center, we could not do right. There is a rule for EVERYTHING. We also werent informed of classes or kids lesson, so we pretty much got kicked out of every body of water available. Seriously, after 30 minutes, we had gotten corrected by rude lifeguards 20+ times. If you’re looking for a fun aquatic park, this aint it. Honestly close to Nazi Germany.

The ymca is not family oriented… they no longer offer family day passes, and on top of your monthly membership fee they want an extra 75 dollars for a service fee. It’s no longer affordable for a family…. Which is sad because I grew up going to the YMCA… it had joined the list of many other things that are not truly centered around families.

I’ve been going to this YMCA for ten years now and don’t get me wrong it’s an amazing why but tenyears ago me and my son were at his swimming lessons and I put my phone in the locker along with some other stuff I get back in the car. I forgot my phone so I went back and it wasn’t there so I told the employees and one of the women’s that were working there said this one and I said yeah and then the lady said yeah I took it to teach you a lesson

I've had numerous problems ever since the new system update. When the system updated i had to re-sign papers with my card information to pull from my account. Each month following for two month ive noticed no payments coming out so i call them and they take a payment over the phone each time. couple weeks later they're calling me by phone telling me I need to come in and reverify my card info for auto withdrawal. I go in and sign papers and i think all is good. A few weeks later i get a similar call and they need to reverify. I call them back the same day and do so. A couple of hours later my card gets hacked ( not accusing anyone but some hell of a coincidence with no change in my routine). Keep in mind this happened about a week before payment was due. Had to cancel card, can't make it in for a few weeks cause I work alot past their hours and can only work out every once in a while and im not making the same mistake of giving card information over the phone again. I go up there to try to fix a card issue and I found out my membership was cancelled and to reinstate it they're trying to charge an nsf fee. No warning, no email and I check my emails religiously, and no call. I Explained the situation to one of the members he was helpful and paused the fee to have it looked over my management to be waived and i just had to pay the for the previous month. Now trying to download they ymca app and come accross problem. I call the staff and discover that my account is still not "active" and they're telling me I need to go up there again and give card information and sign some papers. This is now the 3rd time I had to go up there over some card info and sign papers for them. The lady on the phone had discovered that the previous employee made a mistake. That ex0lains one if the incidents but not the rest. I just officially joined on my own memebership in October and I've been having issues since the end of November; it is now march. I'm one more issue away from canceling my membership and joining a new gym. And during the whole process not 1 apology for wasting my time and handing out private and sensitive information multiple times due to their neglect. just excuses and a little bit of attitude. Luckily the athletic instructors are amazing and the reason I keep coming.
